SMSTS Refresher Course
This course is designed for delegates that have already passed the 5 day SMSTS, with the aim of updating delegates on changes to legislation and how this could impact on them and their workplace.
The course will provide an overview of past topics as stated below as well as new topics.
- Excavations and demolition
- Site set up
- Working in confined spaces
- Working at height
- Method Statements and Risk Assessment
All of the course materials are included in the price of the course to be used for the duration of the course. Candidates will be provided with a copy of the CITB Construction Skills GE700 manual.
The (SMSTS Refresher) is taken over 2 consecutive days and is for delegates who have previously passed the full five day Site Management Safety Training Scheme.
The aim of this course is to update delegates previously on the five day SMSTS course with changes in legislation and how it may have an impact at their workplace whilst giving an overview of past training and introducing new topics to build on their past knowledge.
All publications are included within the course fee as well as regular handouts.
This course is run over 2 consecutive days with 15 hours teaching time.
At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment. Delegates who successfully complete the assessment are awarded the CITB Construction Skills Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate.
Middlesbrough, York & Newcastle
The course lasts five days and is taken over 5 consecutive days. During the course, candidates must pass core exercises. At the end of the training, they must sit an examination in order to qualify for the certificate.Readmore
