The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is one of the most highly regarded courses within the construction industry available for site managers and supervisors, taken by more than 10,000 people each year. The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 Approved Code of Practice features reference to the course, stating that its successful completion is the minimum level of competency that is required of those managing construction projects in the UK.

It helps site managers (and anyone wanting to become a site manager) to develop a better understanding of the legal, moral and social responsibilities of their role, and to manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions.

All course materials are included within cost of the course and are used for reference to do the course work each delegate will recieve a copy of the CITB GE700 publications.

The course provides the ideal introduction for those supervisors who have had little previous health and safety training. It can also be used as a precursor to attending the 5 day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course.

At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment. Delegates who successfully complete the assessment are awarded the CITB Construction Skills Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate.
